-Worked directly with special needs children diagnosed with Cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, social and emotional disorders, dyslexia, learning and behavior disorders (Home, community & school environment) - Collaborated with the team to always create fun and safe learning environment for our students -Aided in behavioral management and loved the children while making them realize how truly special they are. - Maintained daily records and communication book of student progress/behavior report under the guidance of the teacher - Helped children with academic preparations, assist them take care of physical needs and personal care including feeding, washroom needs and personal hygiene - Transfer students to and from wheelchairs, lifts/positions, signs or interprets instructions for them - Used instructional equipment including computers, audio visual, adaptive equipment and other school equipment - Positively managed behavior and proactively handle crisis situations, using approved techniques - Helped students with behavioral and social skills and adopted various reinforcements to reach designed goals.
