I have completed my RN nursing school portion and clinicals, however I did not do my residency for personal reasons/ a devastating life event. In school I had a 3.8 to 4.0 gpa and was highest in my class; so I did not fail out. I was even valedictorian of the college program! Before school I work over 4 years in a assisted care senior living home (care from retirement level to end of life). I started as a care giver, and was then promoted and moved up to giving meds. I did both care and gave out meds on the locked memory unit too... i learned a lot as it was care from beginning to end! I then got an opportunity with another company and moved on to be a coordinator for a homecare company. Since school, for the last few years (3 to 5 years) and have worked with 2 agencies. I am very friendly and do my best to anticipate and show initiative. I truly enjoy caregiving in any way. I believe in making their time as special as possible. Nursing is my passion; not just a job to pay the bills. When i do fill in shifts the client often requests me back; which is a high honour! the small homecare company i worked with sent me in for 1st impressions when someone wanted to try our care; again, a high honor!
