Good day :) I am a former Registered Nurse, and now practising PSW, with over 35 years experience, “working” with and for geriatric patients and clients, with varying degrees of health issues, in particular, Alzheimer’s Disease, Dementia, Strokes, Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Mental Health, and many more areas that are predominant with the elderly. I graduated with a diploma in Nursing, in 1977, from Cambrian College, Sudbury, Ontario, and from Canadore College, North Bay, Ontario, in 1995 and 1996, with diplomas in Drug and Alcohol Counsellor, and Social Services Worker ( Academic Honours ), respectively. In addition, I hold certificates of Psychotropic Medications, Inhalers, Diabetes, and Suppositories & Enemas. I have extensive experience working in long-term care facilities, hospitals, and in private homes. I excel in the latter, as in my opinion, you cannot beat one-on-one care, in the privacy and comfort of the client’s home. I have my CPR/First Aid - Level C, Police Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and I have my own vehicle.
