My name is Kendra and I am currently working on my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, with a specialization in Child Welfare. I have a variety of experience looking after children of all ages from infants to pre-teens and everything in between through volunteer work and through working as a nanny for over seven years. I have gained a lot of childcare experience through volunteering with the YWCA in my early twenties. I have been a Big Sister (mentor) through the Big Sisters Program of BC for three years now and I have also completed my third year social work practicum at Plea Community Services working with vulnerable children and youth. I am a calm, and extremely caring and understanding individual who loves spending time with children of all ages and helping them to develop and reach their full potential. In the future I hope to work as a social worker in the child welfare system helping children with various physical or mental challenges. I am also a dedicated pet owner and lover of animals, especially to my two year old Golden Retriever, Callie.
