Dear potential families, It is fantastic to meet you! My name is Donald, and I have a love for working with children. My strategy when working with children is using positive reinforcement, coupled with song, dance, laughter, and most importantly, play. Whether it is playing with water, blowing bubbles, or simply going outside to feel the different textures of different kinds of leaves or flowers, giving new experiences to children is an invaluable part of their development. I have had the pleasure of working with some fantastic Preschools, most notably, Christopher Allan Preschool, and Atlantic Montessori Preschool. I also have seven years experience working for Halifax Recreation as a Summer Day Camp Leader. A position that on some weeks I worked one-on-one with children with special needs. To add to that list, I also worked as a Nanny last year taking care of a 14-month-old little boy. Throughout my time with Halifax Recreation (as with all of my childcare endeavors), I have learned the value of forming meaningful bonds, and how much a positive role model in a child's life benefits them over the long run.
