Most of my entire career has been as a Legal Administrative Assistant but I have spent my entire life around children and adore them. Just over a year ago, I left the corporate world to do my dream job of being a nanny. I’m extremely active and love the outdoors. I have wanted to relocate to Nova Scotia and will be within the next 2 weeks. Another extremely important part of my life is my involvement with 25 orphans in Jinja, Uganda. For 5 years I have been involved with an organization called HOPE. My involvement has included starting “Christmas in Uganda” where the 25 orphans several years ago received their first ever Christmas gifts. I also started “Teddies for Uganda” where I knit a teddy bear for each child in the orphanage and then within the past 2 years myself and 4 other ladies have raised enough money to have all 25 children sent to private boarding schools where they receive the proper education and care that is required to give them the power to survive and overcome an otherwise impossible situation. In Uganda an orphaned child is the most vulnerable there is and we believe that the most powerful gift we can give these children is the gift of education that keeps on giving and no one can
