My name is ash and I am the mom of a rambunctious 9 month old boy. I am trying to finish up my PhD in social work and not ready to put my baby in day care. I would love to find someone to care for him around 5-10 hours a week during the work day so I can get some work done from my home office or so I can head to an in-person meeting. My partner also works from home so either him or I will be home while you care for the baby. I’m a social worker who has had lots of experience working clinically with young people and my doctoral research is focused on the implementation of trauma-informed care in residential care settings for youth. I bring these same values and approaches to how I parent my little one which is influenced by child development science, attachment theory, RIE, Montessori principles, elimination communication, baby-led weaning and the gentle parenting philosophy. I am looking for someone who has a similar set of values and approaches or someone who is open to learning. You should be someone who is warm, nurturing and loves to laugh. You'll also need to have the energy to keep up with my little one who likes to be on the move. He loves walks outside, eating snacks and practicing standing, walking and going up the stairs. More than anything I am looking for someone who would be the right fit for our family, who is open to taking the time to building trust and rapport with us. As a family, we are silly and we love the outdoors, music, gardening, and being socially and environmental conscious.

We are looking for an experienced live-out or live-in nanny to take care of our children a few evenings a week, some weekends, and to help with household chores and possibly with cooking.
