We have 1 girl, age 13 months (16 months at start of position), who need a little extra help getting ready and being dropped off at daycare each morning. Responsibilities: Arrive at our home by 6:30 AM to assist with the morning routine Prepare a simple breakfast for the children Help the children get dressed and ready for the day Ensure backpacks and daycare bags are packed with necessary items Safely transport the children to daycare, arriving by 8:30 AM Maintain a safe and positive environment during the morning hours Requirements: Previous experience as a nanny or childcare provider Reliable transportation and a clean driving record Punctuality and dependability Friendly, patient, and nurturing demeanor CPR and First Aid certification preferred Non-smoker Benefits: Competitive pay Friendly and supportive family environment Consistent schedule with weekends off

LOCATION: , Ontario HOURS: 10 to 25 hours per week. AVAILABILITY: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday between 8:00 am – 2:00 pm. START DATE: Monday, September 2, 2024. DURATION OF CONTRACT: 10 months. We require reliable childcare between September 2024 and July 2025. COMPENSATION: $18 - $25 per hour, based on experience and education. JOB DESCRIPTION We seek a reliable, animated, compassionate live-out Nanny to care for our 15-month-old daughter. Responsibilities include engaging in creative educational activities, preparing lunch and snacks, light housekeeping (e.g. tidying the kitchen after meals, picking up toys, and folding clothes while she naps), reinforcing developmentally appropriate self-care skills, as well as participating in daily activities in the community (e.g. playgroups, parks, walks, museums, library). QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum two years of childcare experience with toddlers. • Valid CPR and First Aid certification. • Willingness to undergo a criminal background check. • High school diploma. • Up to date on vaccinations. • Bilingualism (English, French) is an asset. • Education in early childhood development is an asset. KEY REQUIREMENTS / EXPECTATIONS Before applying, please ensure that the following fit with your caregiving approach: • No Screen Time: Adhere to our no screen time policy for our toddler. Limit phone use while nannying. • Healthy Meals: Prepare and offer nutritious meals and snacks. • Non-smoker: We strive to offer our daughter a smoke-free environment. • No Outside Visitors: No pets, friends or family may visit you while you are caring for our child (unless pre-approved). Playdates with other moms or nannies are welcomed and encouraged. • Empathetic Response: Respond to big emotions with compassion & curiosity. Use language that is simple, descriptive, and non-judgmental. • Open Communication: Willingness to discuss openly how to manage difficult situations with parents. Teamwork and consistency are key. • Child-Led Play: Follow our child’s lead in choosing how to play. Offer her opportunities to nurture her innate interest and foster her curiosity through exploration and discovery. • Access to a Reliable Vehicle: participating in community activities will require access to a safe vehicle and a driver's license.
