Mom will be away over the Victoria Day long weekend and Dad needs to finish some work in the office. We have a second and third grader who are pretty independent and enjoy having babysitters. We’d love someone to be here at the home base and maybe let them have a friend over while Dad works. I’ve asked for 7 hours on Monday, but we can also break it up to 5 hours on Sunday and Monday afternoons. We’re flexible. You’ll likely have to make snacks and maybe an easy lunch. June 3&6 I have early morning appointments that are unmovable and my husband is away. My kids are almost 8 and 9 years old and listen well. I’ll need you over by 0630 hrs and will make you a nice cup of coffee and will just need your help to put them on the bus one day, and in a Lyft to the Dovercourt community centre the next. If you really want to make more of a day’s wage with it, happy to pay for housecleaning help after the kids are off. Because this is an early morning job- pay is $30 and hour.

We are looking for ongoing, occasional childcare for our 2 active boys 9/12. We don’t have set hours but are looking for the right person to help our family in an ongoing way. Drivers license would be a bonus. On a weekend, my husband and I would like a couple hours during the day. Otherwise, sometimes we will need help during the week if one of the boys is home from school and I need to work, or evenings when one kid is at hockey and the other needs to be somewhere else. Also occasionally we go out in the evening. They do best with caregivers who are empathetic and good with boys. They both love sports and are quite competitive. The 12 year old has some special needs, he has ADHD and is easily irritable. He’s old enough now that he manages well. The right person will be sensitive to reading the vibe and giving him space when he needs it. The 9 year old is very high energy. Being comfortable helping them resolve disagreements is important.
