On the two days our child attends daycare, your role expands to include household duties such as laundry, house cleaning, and other light tasks as needed. What a week in the role could look like:
Mondays
Care for 15 month old son, engage him with fun activities (no screen time), spend time outside in yard, make his meals and tidy up after him.
Tuesdays
Son is at daycare. Vacuum home, clean washrooms, do laundry. Prepare meals, wash dishes, grocery shop, etc. On the odd cases, be able to care for son if needed to come home from daycare due to illness, etc.
Wednesdays
Care for 15 month old son, engage him with fun activities (no screen time), spend time outside in yard, make his meals and tidy up after him.
Thursdays
Son is at daycare. Wash floors, tidy up, change bedding. Prepare meals, wash dishes, etc. On the odd cases, be able to care for son if needed to come home from daycare due to illness, etc.
Fridays
Care for 15 month old son, engage him with fun activities (no screen time), spend time outside in yard, make his meals and tidy up after him.

I am a shift worker and my husband owns a business that - in the winter - will require him to be out over night at times. Until there is winter conditions we would not require nights regularly. Daily hours would be 6:15am until 8:30pm (at the latest), 10:00am until 8:30-ish pm, and in the winter time where we would require care over night and for part of the following day.
My shifts are: 7:30am-7:30pm, 11am-11pm, 7:30pm-7:30am and will be full time hours until September 23 when I switch to part time with a more fluctuating schedule (but able to give more hours as needed).
We are ideally looking for someone who is comfortable with dogs - we have two that require unsupervised time outside intermittently through the day; able to cook; do light housekeeping (laundry, vacuum once/week, dishes, dust); and is energetic enough to keep up with a 3 year old and 2 year old. Our youngest is almost potty trained. Prefer someone who has CPR and First Aid up to date or willing to get within 3 months of hire. Must have own vehicle. Start date ASAP, as our current provider will be starting work in another field as of September 1!
