As the leading hand my responsibilities include thorough cleaning of
resident’s rooms ensuring infection control standards and resident personal
hygiene is maintained as well as full room cleans when a resident is discharged. I was also responsible for the cleaning of common resident areas,
staff areas and management offices. I managed three employees and am accountable for rostering, backfill and other human resource requirements. I have also assisted in the laundry on occasion therefore have
developed a foundation of the day to day processes.
I believe I am friendly and outgoing; I am able to build great rapport with all of
the residents and develop professional working relationships with other
disciplines of staff. I enjoy the challenge of working in a busy environment and am able to work well autonomously. With my previous experience in the
nursing field, I understand the requirements of aged care, hygiene and cleaning,using this knowledge every day.
