I am an overseas trained Occupational Therapist currently living in Australia. I am keen to further my knowledge and experience of the Australian healthcare system through various health care and disability settings. I feel that the communication, organisation and time management skills I have developed through my previous customer service roles and paid experience as an Occupational Therapist are transferrable to other roles and sectors. I am very interested in various roles within the disability sector to increase my confidence and knowledge of disability and promoting independence. I am a caring and empathetic person and love working with people. I have worked as part of a team and autonomously in a variety of settings including community paediatrics, acute medical and community rehab. This has also helped me build the communications skills necessary to work as part of a team towards a joint goal of independence and to improve quality of life for clients and family/carers.
