I am Mother of 3 who grew up with animals. I raised a custom's puppy, and a blind guide dog. I signed up with Rcpca about a year ago to foster animals who aren't ready for adoption. This includes: puppies, grown up dogs, elderly dogs, kittens with and without mums. I dealt with separation anxiety, being underweight, cat flu, broken foot, and feral cats. The blind guide dogs program involved lots of skills of training a dog such as not pulling on the lead, toilet training, being calm around other dogs and humans, not jumping and barking, and the basics such as sit, down, leave it, drop it, go home, stay, steady and more.
