I have been child minding for families within my local area for over 5 years. My responsibilites over the years have included picking up and dropping off children to their school and their swimming lessons, helping them complete their homework, preparing and serving dinner, bathing the children and putting the children to bed. I have worked with children since I was 13 years old, I have refereed younger children's (5 years and up) soccer matches, I have coached young children's soccer teams and I have worked for a company that coaches children in soccer who's ages ranged from as young as 1 year old to 7 years old. In year 12, I was part of our high school's "buddy" program with the new year 7's to ensure the children settle into high school smoothly. My mother is a primary school teacher and I have gone into her work during my university breaks where I would assist her in the classroom. I have a Working With Children Check and a Police Background Check completed.
