Having held a regular/permanent part-time job for five years conducting piano lessons for beginners, tutoring math and science to primary school students and working in various childminding positions, my clientele have often commented on my patience, dependability and warmth. I have worked with children who have ADHD, autism and Tourettes syndrome and have learned to adapt my communication skills to cater to their unique cognitive processes. In many cases, I helped improve their quality of life through teaching them important life skills. It was incredibly rewarding to help the children I cared for reach their full potential and improve their self-confidence. I am particularly attuned and sensitive to the importance of a child-caring role, as proper guidance, consistent behavioural expectations and structure is critical during this period of developmental pre-adolescence. In previous gigs, I have been entrusted with the following duties: pick-up and drop-offs, meal preparations, homework assistance, light housework, arrangement of fun activities, preparing for bedtime, as well as meeting any other physical, social, or emotional needs. Availability: Mon, Wed, Fri and the weekend!
