My name is Tasha and I am primary school teacher who has moved to Wollongong from the West Coast of Canada. I have also worked as a full-time nanny during my summers off. I am passionate about working with kids; I sincerely believe there is as much I can learn from them as they can learn from me. My teaching and nannying experiences have developed my intuitive attentiveness to children’s unique needs and interests. I know how to plan and organize engaging activities for kids of all ages. I am aware that when working with kids you are a role model. Most of the time I am as energetic as the kids, so I understand the need to move and be outside. I believe I can demonstrate how to positively channel energy in fun and creative ways. Everyday is an adventure; I love nature and the outdoors. Specifically, I am an avid runner, surfer, climber, hiker, kayaker and cyclist. Leading outdoor expeditions has taught me the importance of safety awareness in every situation. I am an accredited NSW teacher, so I have completed the following: first aid, CPR, WWCCC, and anaphylaxis training. I am happy to provide references on request.
