I have worked in the childcare field for 10 years in various capacities such as a teacher, live-in and live-out nanny, babysitter, swim instructor and lifeguard. I have my blue card as well as first aid and CPR training. I have worked with children between the ages of 3 months and 15 years old. Most recently, I worked as a live-in nanny for a family with one boy (1.5yr) and one girl (6mo.) and I spent monday-friday 9am-5pm with them. I stayed with this family for a year and a half and developed a close relationship to the children and parents. I worked hard to communicate well with the parents on the care they were looking for and was committed to provide the best childcare possible for their children. I worked with the kids on their crawling, walking, eating, sign language, speaking, reading, took them to the pool and parks, went on long walks outside and to museums, and meal prepped. I always made sure the home was left very tidy so the parents never came home to a mess. I work hard to help the children become confident, responsible, independent learners who trust in their own abilities.
