My name is Takara and i am 24 years old. I have previously worked as a nanny, for a family in Eltham. My duties included preparing breakfast, lunches, and snacks for two primary school-aged children. I would get them ready for school, drop them at school and pick them up again once the school day finished. I would engage the children with a range of activities and games at the end of the day, along with a nutritious afternoon tea. My main priority was to provide the children with a fun, safe environment while in my care. I have also cared for children of all different ages through family and my babysitting company. I loved my role as a nanny so much, that I decided to pursue a career in primary education. I started a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) degree at Swinburne University in July 2020. This is a career I am passionate about, were I will get the opportunity to work collaboratively with peers and other educators, to develop a high quality 21st century, innovative and creative curriculum for all students.
