Here are some details about me I thought you might find interesting! I am the oldest of 8, the youngest four of whom are adopted/fostered. Throughout my parents fostering I have also become a registered respite carer. I have been babysitting since I was 13 years old as well as being a dance and swim teacher through highschool. I then nannied for various professional families in Canberra, Australia whilst studying. Once I moved home to Perth I got a job at the Montessori School, Kingsley (the school I also attended) as a teachers aide in the pre-primary (ages 3-6) classroom. I then got a job as a governess/home tutor at Nita Downs Station in the Kimberley region of Australia. Whilst there I had sole educational charge of a 9 year old boy as well as nannying duties outside of school hours. I worked in conjunction with Kimberley School of the Air to provide exemplary teaching to him. I created lesson plans, worked through homework, and did fun stuff all at the same time!! I then made my way back to the UK and au paired for three different families there – one with a 16-month-old, one with a 2.5 year old and the third with a 2 year old and a baby who was delivered whilst I was there!
