I spent two years in the U.S as an au pair. In my first year I cared for 3 children, 3 mo - 4 yrs. In my second year I cared for 3 children, 3 mo - 8 yrs. I worked full time whilst the parents worked & some nights when the parents had dates. I would change diapers, feed/give bottles, pick up kids from school, help with homework, prepare meals, bath & sometimes put kids to bed. I would read & sing or have dance parties with them, play games, take them on walks, etc. I also taught one girl her letters, how to read, write, addition & subtraction! I am the oldest child, so I would babysit my siblings & take them to & from school. I volunteered at my sisters school, helping in class a few times. I also worked hosting children's parties. I prepared food & hosted activities. I returned to Australia a few days ago & am in quarantine I have a NSW WWCC. If this is not valid in QLD I will get a new one. I completed my First Aid in 2016 & took more brief training in 2018 in the U.S. I can renew my certificate if required. I am looking for flexible/casual babysitting work. After quarantine, my schedule will be flexible. I will be back in school in January & then my schedule will be less flexible.
