I am currently working as an assistant in nursing/allied health assistant in a rehabilitation unit and as an aged care support worker, visiting people in their own homes. I am in the process of registering to practice Occupational Therapy here in Australia (I graduated as an OT in the UK, 30 years ago). Originally from the UK, I moved to Port Macquarie with my Australian husband and daughter after volunteering 8 years in East Africa with a medical NGO. I've enjoyed settling into Port and the cert III in Aged Care Support I undertook when we arrived 3 years ago, has enabled me to work with people in a variety of settings.
