Currently working as a PCA/AIN in aged care. Placements in aged care facility under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and clinical educator. Assisted residents with meals, showering, hygiene and activities with other staff. Learned new skills to work in aged care and learned to manage the care of elderly residents with respect and dignity. Assisted RNs with vital signs such as Blood Pressure monitoring, Neurological Observations, Blood Glucose Monitoring and Temperature. Assisted elderly residents with activities of daily living.
