Hi, I am naturally a compassionate and caring person and I have always cared for our elders, in particular, lonely neighbours, where I would check their well being regularly to see they are ok. I have recently gained my Cert IV in Ageing Support, this included 120 hours with Ozcare Vincent Village. For the past few years I have also assisted a family member who has dementia and in more recent months to s now also a stroke victim, causing mobility and speech issues, so now needs assistance with personal grooming, showering, toileting, outings and feeding, although they have now been admitted to an Aged Care Facility in Townsville, where I visit often and do crafts and outings with them to help make them smile.
