Originally from Broken Hill, New South Wales, I moved to Adelaide in 2019 to study a Bachelor of Nursing at UniSA and am now going into my 3rd year. Once completing my degree, I aim to study a Bachelor of Midwifery. I absolutely adore children, this being one of my main reasons for wanting to be a Midwife. I have 4 young nieces, 2 nephews and plenty of little cousins, having babysat them whenever their parents needed a break. I also have around 40+ hours of babysitting history, looking after children from 6 months old to 12 years old. I hold a cleared DCSI screening, updated first aid and CPR certificates and a provisional 2 drivers license. | Hello families! I have 7+ years experience with kids, specialising in 0-5 year olds. First aid/CPR cert and WWCC done in NSW last year. I am also a single mother with a beautiful 3.5 year old and 4 month old. My 3.5 year old will be at kindy throughout the week and my 4 month old will be coming with me to hang out with your kids! My older daughter came to work with me from infancy up until she was about 2.5 years old. Before I had my second daughter I worked as a full-time au pair in Adelaide, having sole charge of my older daughter along with a 1 and 4 year old. I think I juggled this very well and can provide a glowing reference from the family I worked for to back this up. I have also worked for other families in New Zealand, Germany and Australia. I find having my own kids is a benefit more than a drawback! It provides daily socialisation outside of family for both my kids and yours, and forms beautiful lifelong bonds. My oldest still talks fondly of all the cool kids we've looked after over the years! Also I have extensive, hands-on experience with infants and toddlers. As a mother myself I understand what a big thing it is to trust someone else with your precious child - this is a responsibility I take very seriously.
