| I just thought I’d give you a little information about myself and the work I have done in and around the childcare industry, and why I would like to continue to pursue this line of work. I am a down to earth and laid-back young lady. I enjoy walking on the beach, bush walks or anything to do with walking really. I enjoy spending quality time with the people I love and I am always willing to give new things a go. I have 15 first cousins which are all younger than me that I absolutely love and enjoy taking care of and spending time with. I have a clean full driver’s license, which I am able to drive both Manual and Automatic. I am able to start immediately and I am flexible with how long I am able to stay for, it all depends on you and your family’s needs. I have worked with children from the ages of 3 months to 15 years and I have done work experience/casual work in 3 different daycares – working from the ages of 3 months up to 5 years. This was over a one year period. Details of the families I was a nanny for include: First family; 3 children aged 18 months, 2.5 years and 4.5 years of age. As well as taking care of them, I also prepared meals from breakfast, lunch to dinners. Changed nappies, took them for walks to the beach and park, set up activities such as painting, play dough and much more. I also helped with general cleaning such as dishes and vacuuming. Second family; 3 children aged 5, 8 and 10 whilst looking after them, I make afternoon tea and dinners, as well as taking them to school activities, helped with homework and anything else required. Third family; 2 children aged 2 and 4. I worked either 6.45am to 3.15pm or 2.45pm to 11.15pm. I was required to help the boys get dressed, have breakfast and other general things to get them ready for the day. I took them to children play groups, to the beach, playgrounds, and we completed activities such as lego, playdough, educational counting and reading games on an iPad. I made lunches, afternoon tea and dinners, as well as bathing/showering, changing nappies, putting them into bed and reading stories. I also did general house hold cleaning such as dishes and vacuuming. Forth family; 2 children aged 9 and 15. I have recently finished working with this family on the Sunshine Coast. I was required to take the children to and from school, taking the youngest child to afternoon activities, helped him with homework, cooking dinners and anything else required. This finished due to school holidays starting. Fifth Family; 2 children aged 3 and 8 months. I looked after them 3 days a week, bottle feeding, changing nappies, and putting them down for naps. We played in their outdoor sandpit, and played different learning games together. I also prepared meals and did general cleaning around the house. I've spent somewhat time in early childcare centres as I had a few family members that worked there so I would often help out after school. I'm currently studying individual support at Tafe but outside of my studies I still have plenty of spare time and my availabilities are broad. | My first host family has 3 beautiful children, twin 10 year old girls and a 13 year old boy. During school, I started at 05.30 until 08.30. During that time I was in charge of getting the three children up from bed at different times for their buses. First bus at 06.35, second at 07.00 and third at 08.30. As well as making sure they were dressed, fed breakfast and had a packed lunch. Some morning I was in charge of driving the oldest to school for study hall. Then I would start again at 2.15 pm until 8.15 pm. During that time the 3 kids would come home from school at different times. First bus would come at 2.25pm, second at 2.45pm and third coming at 4.30pm. I would make sure each child does their homework and has a snack straight after the bus. One of the girls did an after school sport and I was in charge of organising transport and the boy did after school play which i was in charge of transport as well. My other responsibilities were to cook dinner and clean up after. Also to get the children ready for bed and doing the children's laundry.

We’d walk to the park to burn off some energy after school, come home for some wind down time and homework for the oldest. I also assisted with bathing, preparing afternoon snacks and dinner, the bed-time routine and to finish the night with tidying up and general cleaning. Later down the track, I was able to be a helping hand with an almost 2 year-old boy and his 4 year-old sister! Again, we prepared snacks, had our midday nap, outside entertainment and light duties before bed-times.

| I have experience babysitting three children for multiple years. The youngest was a toddler when I first started babysitting and the older two were primary school age. I began carrying for them after school while there mother was in a meeting and as I grew older I began carrying for them during evenings. My experience includes putting the children to bed, feeding them dinner, general tidying of the house and assisting the children with homework. I assist in a grade 5 classroom and am willing to work on homework with children or tutor them, however, tutoring will require extra time and preparation and therefore I may request extra pay for this service if it is done alongside babysitting.
