Highly intelligent, educated and relational, after school carer/tutor
|
I am a person, with a great love of people and travel, and I am a very relational person. I am also highly literate and numerate. I have a very strong teaching background, as well as having significant experience in emotionally supporting children in primary schools, in the "middle years", children on the autism spectrum, and with extreme behavioural issues. I would encourage parents to "think outside the square," and consider appointing a male carer to support your children. With so few male primary school teachers, children need other adult male role models.
I completed 90% of the units towards the award of a Graduate Diploma of Education. My extensive qualifications incude a Counselling Masters. Yet I am down-to-earth, and have the capacity to develop a very good and quick rapport, with children and teenager, whilst being firm with children when required.
I am experienced in both within-school and after school, carer and tutor roles with primary aged children and teenagers, with teenagers in out-of-home care, and of children and teenagers in youth justice centres. So, I have the background and experience to handle challenges which children may present in after school care roles.
