| I have over 15+ years babysitting children ranging from infancy to pre-teen. Throughout High School and Summer Breaks in college I babysat a family of three boys on a regular basis, helping them with homework, taking them to after school activities, preparing meals and cleaning the house. | I am a person, with a great love of people and travel, and I am a very relational person. I am also highly literate and numerate. I have a very strong teaching background, as well as having significant experience in emotionally supporting children in primary schools, in the "middle years", children on the autism spectrum, and with extreme behavioural issues. I would encourage parents to "think outside the square," and consider appointing a male carer to support your children. With so few male primary school teachers, children need other adult male role models. I completed 90% of the units towards the award of a Graduate Diploma of Education. My extensive qualifications incude a Counselling Masters. Yet I am down-to-earth, and have the capacity to develop a very good and quick rapport, with children and teenager, whilst being firm with children when required. I am experienced in both within-school and after school, carer and tutor roles with primary aged children and teenagers, with teenagers in out-of-home care, and of children and teenagers in youth justice centres. So, I have the background and experience to handle challenges which children may present in after school care roles.

| I am currently studying a Diploma in Early Childhood Development. As for my experience working with children, I have been looking after children for 8 years now on a regular basis as a babysitter. I have worked with 3 families over the last 8 years. The first family I have worked with boy currently (17) and girl (16) have now become older they are capable of looking after themselves. I dropped them off to school everyday and picked them up 4 days a week Mon-Thursday, for the last 7 years. Previously to that my first babysitting job was 3 times a week with after school pick up that included help with homework and after school activities drop off/pick up, the children were 5 and 12 years of age at the time. The other family I worked with once a week on Fridays and occasional weekends have moved to NSW, the child I looked after is 3 years old and she was 1 year and only a couple months old when I started with her. I am currently no longer working with any other families and looking for Monday-Friday work.

| Besides my main job, I also work in an agency. This agency is booked for events, such as a wedding, to watch the guests children. I take care of them either during the day or until the night. Usually there are at least 6 children. During the day I play with the kids, paint with them or do craft with them. Once I made some boats out of paper with them and they loved it. I was an au pair in New Zealand for 9 months. There I looked after children from 17 months to 11 years. So I have experience with babies, toddlers and older children. I helped the school children get ready for school and took them to and from school. I also took them to activities after school and prepared meals for them.
