I am originally from Canada but now live in Dunedin! Back in Canada I spent 2 years working in 2 childcare centres; one for toddlers, and one for children aged 5-12. In Hawai'ii, I was a live-in nanny / au pair for 5 children (aged 4-12), where I fulfilled childcare, housekeeping, and cooking roles. I was responsible for driving the children to 2 different schools, getting them ready in the morning, preparing all of their meals, planning activities like crafts and baking, going on beach trips and surfing with the two older children, and really whatever else you can think of! In Oamaru, New Zealand, I spent 6 months living with a lovely family with 3 children (18 months old, 7 years old and 9 years old) where I aided in homeschooling, kept the house clean and tidy, did all of the grocery shopping, put the toddler down for naps, cooked every meal, cared for the cats, and generally entertained / played with the children every day. :) I have been babysitting since I was 13 (I am 22 now) and have always lived with children, so it feels very natural for me.
