About

Flipp Family presents LARO: Filipino Games. "Laro" in Filipino means to play. What better way to bring the family together by learning about Filipino games! We will learn about traditional Filipino games that are popular and well known in the Philippines and in the US. One well known Flipino game is Sungka that is a game played on a solid wooden block with 2 rows of seven circular holes and 2 large holes at both ends. We will learn how to play this popular game and create our own version to take home!

Food and materials will be provided by Flipp Family!

Cost includes admission for 1 adult and 1 child. LARO workshop materials, food/drinks and access to open play at GIGIL.

Flipp Family is building a community of families to cultivate the Filipino culture. As a working parent, there aren't many spaces that bring together families to learn about the Filipino culture in the beach cities in Los Angeles. Flipp Family brings this space by collaborating with various organizations in the Long Beach/South Bay area. Flipp Family explores culture through food, music, dance and so much more!
