Spanish Immersion Summer Camp: Fiesta del Arte (Art Extravaganza)
Inspired by the shapes, sounds and colors of Guatemalan art traditions, students will use a wide assortment of materials to create:
edible crafts such as flores de fruta (fruit flowers)
non-edible crafts such as papel picado
Students will learn about the most influential cities/towns in the Guatemalan art landscape. They will use Spanish to describe the geography, shapes, colors and textures of Latin art. They will learn an array of language structures to express their preferences and verbs for creative actions they engage in (drawing, cutting, separating, etc.) All students will to take home their projects at the end of the week.
When a camp registration is canceled by the camper(s) and/or the family, a refund will be provided only if we receive notification two weeks in advance. We will, however, retain 5% of the total registration fees for processing costs. No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than two weeks in advance.
*Campers receive a daily snack, time for lunch and all activity supplies. Campers bring their lunch from home.
**In case of COVID-19-related cancellation of camp days, Brilliant Bilingual will offer a credit for any missed days. Our credits can be redeemed for any of our programs (adult, camps, clubs, etc.), and they do not expire.
