As a groomer Diane is great. As a business woman, awful. I reached out to Diane and left a message on her phone asking if she had any openings to groom two small dogs. She reached out to me through text to let me know she had an opening for 3:30 the next day. I text her a reply that I'd take the one grooming since my Shih Tzu needed a hair cut (mind you his hair was no longer then an 1.5" long.

I had her groom him 6 weeks prior and she charged me $55.00 (and that was a quote give over the phone, dog not seen).

Now day of the appointment. At 4:30pm she had not show up and I found that odd, so I called her thinking she may have ran over with another client. When she answered the phone she informed me that she had been done for the day at 2pm and did not have anything booked after. I reminded her of our texting conversation, she paused, gasped and said "I'll call you right back" and disconnected with me. I found that strange. Diane quickly called me back and told me she could drive out to groom my dog and sorry about the confusion. No problem, things happen. I figured since she had no other dogs to groom and was only driving out to groom my dog, I asked if she could groom my other dog. She told me she did not have time and that she could only groom one. I found that odd, but figured she had plans and simply did not have the time.

I informed her that I had left but someone would be there at the home so she could pick up the dog to groom. I came home just as her mobil van was leaving. I was informed that she had charged me $75.00 to groom my 14 lb. Shih Tzu! and since I had told the individual who was watching my dog while I stepped out to tip Diane, Diane was given a $20.00 tip totaling $95.00!!! I was so upset! I quickly called Diane thinking there was some type of confusion. $95.00 was what I had paid her the previous time to groom TWO DOGS! Diane informed me that she gave my dog a winter cut last time and this time she gave my dog a summer cut and since she cut the hair so short it was considered TWO CUTS! Are you kidding me? She changed the blade on her clippers, so for that simple change out that was an additional $20.00? I have never felt so taken. I think she was upset that she had to come out after she thought her day was done, and thought she'd tack on $20.00 for the inconvenience (that she caused may I add).

I will never use her services again. What she did was wrong. If anything she should have given me a discount for the inconvenience of forgetting my appointment.

Ms.Amber, I did not forget your appointment. I did not know you had made an appointment. You were texting me at 8:30 in the morning regarding an appointment for the next day. You did not respond until after business hours that late evening in which I did not receive until the following day when you called. I just assumed you had changed your mind and did not want the appointment since you lived an hour and a half away from your parents. Next, I explained to your parents who were there with your pet, as you were not , that it was going to cost extra because your pet was well over grown and was going to need two haircuts to get her back into shape. It had been 5 months since the last grooming. I dont just change the blade. I have to remove all the long matted hair first, bathe and blow dry, and then do a second cut for the finished look that you love. This was okayed by your parents as well as the $10 fee. I never charge extra without The charge being okayed. The prior grooming costs that you have quoted are completely incorrect. Your pets first grooming with me was 65.00 not 55.00. Your parents gave me a tip and said your pet looked beautiful. I apologize that you are disappointed with my business skills but I did nothing wrong and bent over backwards not only scheduling you 2 hours over closing time on a holiday, but also knowing you were traveling in from Orange County for me to groom your dog, I was honored . I never tacked on $20.00 for any inconvenience, i charged you the $10 that was approved and your parents gave me a tip. I am happy that you are pleased with my grooming. I just met Diane and instantly liked how she treated my josie and how she made me feel at home. I was completely comfortable leaving to run errand as she worked on josie. She looked beautiful
