I was about to make an appointment with Woof & Wags until I saw the review of the little toy poodle named Teddy, I was horrified. Honestly now, I don't know where to bring my Gracie, a very tiny Yorkie-poo! I usually groom her myself, but I've recently had surgery on my hand and wrist.

My boyfriend and I recently moved to the area and were looking for a good place to get my miniature poodle groomed, Woof and Wagz was just across the street from us so we figured we'd give it a try. That was a HUGE $65 mistake. To begin; the appointment took 4 hours! The first excuse they gave me was that he was so severely matted that it took them that long to cut him, after I told them I took "before pictures" and had proof that the he only had a few small mats they changed their story to say it took 2 hours to cut him and two hours to bathe him. Tori who is supposed to specialize in poodle grooming did nothing but shave him down, now when my sister and I used to give Teddy hair cuts with no training or experience all we did was shave him down. Perhaps if that's the kind of skill Woof and Wagz is looking for I can get a job!
These issues are things that can be looked past but the rest of Teddy's experience are not things that can just be shrugged off which is what this place wants to do. When I went to pick Teddy up they told me how much of a "good boy" he was and I even said that was weird because he always had trouble at the groomers. When I got Teddy home I noticed he was acting very skittish so I thought maybe he was just tired from the trauma of going to the groomers but upon further examination I realized that was not the case. Tori cut Teddy over 4 times! Not just little scraps but actual cuts that were still bleeding. I could tell at that point Teddy was in pain and obviously scared.
I am a reasonable person and understand that accidents happen but I was not even told about this and to me that is absolutely absurd. His grooming appointment was on Tuesday, it is now Monday and he is still coward in the corner acting probably still in a large amount of pain from whatever they did to him.
I emailed the groomer on Friday and received no reply so I called them Saturday and by the end of the call I was so mad I was shaking. The beginning of the interaction started with them not being able to find record of Teddy. After about 2 minutes they finally found him and fed me a line of bull saying how matted he was and sometimes it was normally for them to get little cuts because of the mats. Now like I said earlier I have pictures that shows he was not badly matted but "every groomer was there to see how bad he was" (mind you when I finally was able to pick Teddy up from that terrible place I saw only 2 people) The owner I spoke with said she was sorry I wasn't told about his cuts but they couldn't do anything for me because I waited 4 days to call and they had no proof he didn't "just run through something at home". When I told them I had time stamped pictures documenting the cuts and when they happened they said "well we'll take a look at them." With absolutely no remorse in her voice. I sent the pictures via Facebook messenger so I know they were seen and they have not done anything about it.
The level of unprofessionalism and sheer rudeness I saw from this groomer is immeasurable, I regret taking Teddy here and if my experiences stop you from taking your precious baby to this terrible place then I have served my purpose.
