Visiting Companions and Caregivers is a unique company that offers just what my husband needs. Kelvin and company have worked tirelessly with him on trying to recover movement on his right side from a recent stroke. It is an ongoing battle, but he wouldn't be where he is at now without their help. Thank you so much Kelvin for all your assistance!

What an amazing an educational time I had was Kelvin! He gave me a total understanding with education, knowledge and compassion for his clients to succeed in life, and do the best that they could do.
My observation is this this man knows his industry and has a heart to see everyone restored from any illness that they have.

Visiting Companions & Caregivers has restored the love for caring for the geriatric clients. The company actually cares about both the care givers and the client unlike most companies I've worked with over the course of 10 years. Kelvin is proactive ,compassionate,accommodating and professional . Responsive and always available to assist. Needless to say I highly recommend this company both for care & employment purposes! I would highly recommend VCC! They provide great care for patients and tailored assistance to each patient's individual needs. There is no better agency to work with and entrust the care of your loved ones to ensure they receive adequate service. 10/10!

Unfortunately I had the pleasure of working for this company for several months. Kelvin the owner which would never give his last name red flag #1. And the address is wrong. He is no longer in Fair Lawn. My stupidity. I should have seen this coming. Very disorganized company to work for, not enough shifts or employees. I did however work with this most amazing woman. 3 evenings a week. Best shift at the time. Lol. I'm being sarcastic. The woman was awesome though. I was attending school at the time. Red flag #2 He was supposed to send over a promise of employment letter for me. Never did. Anytime I would question him threw email he would not answer me. Instead he would call me to verbally discuss it. Or talk to me face to face. Do not work for this shister. Do not get roped into his BS

Hi Margaret our current address in Nutley and you visited it a couple of times for official reasons. You were also notified that our old address was in Fair Lawn. As Far as not having enough shifts, that's incorrect as evidenced by ever growing team of dedicated and compassionate caregivers we hire weekly. You however were unable to pick up more hours because you were fragmented in your personal life and told me you were only available to work the days you indicated and consequently reflected on our weekly schedule for you. You were also given a second schedule in Edgewater which you confirmed but never showed up for, which goes to show you lack compassion for the very esteemed families we serve. Lastly, as far as the promise of employment i repeatedly told you that it wasn't a physical document, and that it is an online database where agencies add verified caregivers whom have completed the 76 hour CHHA course requirement. However in your case we could not verify your licensure with the state because there was a discrepancy with your current last name and maiden name and the state told me to ask you to call them to have it resolved but the time i called you to notify you, you sent a resignation email. If you are interested you may call the board of nursing at 973-504-6430 to verify what a promise of employment is. In the meantime i wish you all the best with your feature endeavors.

I am so sorry to say that I was conned by this company also. I worked for 4 pay periods and received 3 checks. I did not receive half of the pay I should have... Such a shame, great clients/patients, terrible company (Kelvin). My recommendation is to run for the hills. No pay after a covered shift as stated in handbook, no pay if you miss a punch out, just terrible overall!

i am sorry to hear you feel that you were not paid for all of the hours you worked with us. However that is not the truth because you were paid according to our biweekly pay schedule and we have records of the days and times you worked. Also Amy you were offered early pay because you were experiencing financial difficulty when i didn't have to do so. Because we value our team members and without them we can't care for our clients, we treat them with respect and value their suggestions as they are our customer service representatives in the field. Lastly, you may contact the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development at 609-292-2515 for any pay related complaints and or concerns. Best of luck

My mom broke a couple of bones in her low back and needed some assistance at home the first week or so while the pain subsided. Kelvin was extremely responsive and informative. He and his team took the time to understand my mom's needs. The aides helped my mom get back on her feet and feel comfortable being independent again.

First time using home health care.. Thought that it would be frightening, However, Kelvin and the caregivers made this experience easy to adjust to..
Kelvin promised and delivered the care that I needed for recovery after surgery. Kelvin went above and beyond his services. He is compassionate and caring for the patients well-being both mentally and physically is his number one priority. The care that Kelvin and his aids have given me has helped me greatly with my recovery.
I would recommend VCC to help you on your journey to recovery as well.

This is the worst company I have worked for in my employment history. Smooth talking Kevin must stop his bait and switch attitude.
I was told I would be paid at the end of the shift and when the shift ended he asked if I had zel, I believe it's an app.
My point is that if you were paying me at the end of the shift through an app you should of said that previously.
It's typically a bait and switch action. Then he has the nerve to say I am ignorant, well call me whatever, I worked two days and haven't gotten paid at the end of the shift!!
I wouldn't recommend using this company at all!!!

Kelvin has been working with my son for tha past 3 months .My son is difficult patient and Kelvin has handled him with dignity and understanding .My son needs help with medications and shower he was very patient ,committed and helpful without his help it would have been difficult to take care of my son .

Amazing. The single word I can use to describe this company and the level of care they provide. I live in a different state from my mother and this team has been able to provide me a sense of calm that I didn't think possible. Kelvin and team truly care for my mother and go above and beyond. They have given me back the mother I remember from my childhood. They provide full person care: physical, well-being, dietary, bathing, rehabilitation, and emotional stability. They work with my mom and ensure her wishes and concerns are understood. They also do a fabulous job keeping me informed and updated. They got her to see physicians for the first time in 10+ years...at her house...all during a pandemic. This company has been truly life changing.

VCC was the perfect complement to my Aunt. She was fiercely independent mentally but not physically. I was very impressed with the care and attention VCC provided her without depriving her of her dignity. She felt like a true partner in her care and loved the assistance provided by VCC. We could not have asked for a better caregiver.

We want to thank Visiting Companions for all their assistance and care for our Mom over the last 2 years. Both Stella and Kelvin managed the caregivers and always found the perfect fit for our mom. They personally met our Mom when we started with them and would always find caregivers to meet her personality and needs.
Barbara was her primary caregiver at the end of her life and became so close to her that she was family to us. She was wonderful and caring to our Mom and it will never be forgotten.

Our experience with VCC was excellent. Their staff worked with us for approximately 18 mos. They were reliable and very knowledgeable while caring for my father who had suffered multiple strokes. David was the main caregiver assigned to my Dad. He was phenomenal and, he became a dear friend to my Dad! Lastly, a big shout-out to both Stella and Kelvin as well for all of their leadership and assistance with my father's care. I highly recommend VCC.

Please and please I want you to read carefully as this would benefit you and avoid stress in your life. This is not a company, kelvin and Stella don't know how to run a company, I mean they have no CLUE!!!! You never get paid on time and they always have stupid excuses. Please avoid this company. Ignore the good reviews you see. Those good reviews are not coming from workers. This is coming from a worker who worked with them, got fired and never got paid.

This company is a joke, they keep firing and hiring new employees because they can't keep up with payment and poor organisation. Please do not believe the good reviews you see on here, Run for your life if you get hired by this company. This is coming from an employee who never got paid.

Bad company.. please stay away from this company to avoid stress. This company lacks organizational skills and don't care about their employees. You don't get paid on time or they try not to pay you for what you worked for. They either mess up your pay stub or they don't pay you complete. And let me not talk about schedule, they would have you going everywhere. My advice for them is that entrepreneurship is not everybody. If you can run a business close it down!!!

I contacted VCC when I needed respite care for my upcoming vacation, I take care of my dad. They provided an aide right away, and Stella, the nurse supervisor and interim director has come a few times herself to help out when someone was unavailable. It wasn't easy finding a good fit for us , due to location, but we now have a wonderful aide who lives just minutes away. My dad is now on hospice, but VCC fills in the huge gaps . My dad is in great hands and I can run out to run errands, etc, knowing he's well taken care of. Everyone I met here has a heart of gold!

Visiting Companions and Caregivers have sent wonderful aides to care for and help my mother. They go above and beyond. Stella is extremely knowledgeable and has offered all kinds of helpful information. My mom was hesitant at first but now looks forward to their visits. Thank you VCC.

This company has the best staff. They have been helping us with the care of my mother in law, and not only they are very knowledgeable, they are really Caring. Specially Stella, she really goes the extra mille for her patients! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM if you like us, need assistance with the care of your loved ones.
