Thank you for your interest in our Visiting Angels home caregivers. I believe you will find that our approach is very different from other agencies. For example, we see it as our job to adjust to your schedule and to see to it that you (or your family member) remain comfortable in your own home. We establish the needs of our clients as our first priority and concentrate on building lasting relationships with them. This is why our clients remain with us so much longer than they often do with other agencies. <br/> <br/>Our caregivers are a diverse group with varying levels of experience. We will select from caregivers who have the experience necessary to best fulfill your individual needs, and best of all, you will have the opportunity to choose your caregiver, after a personal interview. This is an advantage which our agency provides because we believe it is important for you to have a caregiver you trust. In addition, I believe you will notice a very different caliber of caregiver with respect to their depth of character and values. Our caregivers truly care. Many have strong church affiliations and/or volunteer service backgrounds. Unlike other agencies, we have recruited caregivers from these organizations. We are not pressured to fill jobs by simply sending the first person we can find. Clients and caregivers alike tell us that they are amazed at the time we take to get to know them. <br/> <br/>The Visiting Angels service is also designed to solve the problems of the high cost of home caregiving. I am familiar with the prices of virtually every custodial home care agency in our region. Virtually all range in price from $19.00 to $22.00/hour (some are even as high as $26.00/hr). Our regular price is $18.00/hour for 3 hours or more, under 3 hours is $50.00/visit. <br/> <br/>If the individual needs 24 hour live-in care, we will provide it at $250.00 or 12 hour sleep over for $175.00. All clients are reviewed by case by case basis to determine if the individual qualifies for the 24 hour or 12 hour shift rates. <br/> <br/>If the individual is a veteran or the spouse of a veteran, be sure to ask us about assistance in obtaining the VA Special Disability Pension Benefit to assist with paying for care. <br/> <br/>We thank you for spending some time with us and look forward to helping you.… Read more
