I hired Two Fantastic Maids to clean a small mobile home that my mother purchased to move into so she could be closer to family do to health reasons. It's a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 14x48 mobile home. Less than 700 square foot. Very small kitchen and living room. I purchased the move in/move out cleaning. I let them know in advance that the bathroom and the kitchen were the main thing because most everything else had been repainted and refloored. My sister showed them in person that the kitchen cabinets and drawers needed to be cleaned on the inside and along the metal around the windows where there was a good bit of what we think is residue from cigarette smoking inside the home. My initial quote was $20 per hour and the move in cleaning was a minimum of 5 hours. Then she added- we always go out in pairs so there will be two people. First off, I was misled. I didn't realize it was $20 per hour/per person. So, I was later told the total would be $200 for 5 hours. I agreed because I thought it would get a good cleaning and my elderly mother could move right in and everything would be perfect. The first day that they came out is when my sister showed them everything that we were concerned about, especially the bathroom and cabinets. There is no furniture in the home except for a small kitchen table at this time. They said they stayed for 3 hours the first day and would come back in the morning to finish up. My sister went to check on everything after they left (I'm in Mississippi) and it did not look like 3 hours worth of work had been done but we decided it may be because they wiped walls and windows and other things that may not be as noticeable and they would be back in the morning to finish everything. They sent me a message that I owed $120 for the first day and I paid it immediately. The next day I got a text from them that they went back and stayed about 45 minutes and that they accidentally closed and locked the door before taking the trash out, but they were done. They sent me a second message that I owed $130 for the second day. I was a little confused as to why I was paying $130 for 45 minutes and why it was $50 higher than the original quote but I just went on and paid it and decided I would just go with someone else for future cleanings. Then my sister went by this morning. Well, she's not really sure what they actually did for the time that they were there because the counters were covered in dirt/dust/grit, they had never been wiped down. My sister was able to sweep up a pile of dirt from the very small kitchen floor, so they didn't sweep or mop the kitchen floor. There was still stains, hair, and debris on and in the toilet if you lifted the lid and pee streaks on the base of the commode. In some areas where they must have cleaned the walls there was dirty water marks running down the wall that they just left there. They did not touch the cabinets or drawers in the kitchen. The same dead bugs and spills were all still there. The kitchen sink was filthy where they apparently dumped their mop buckets and did not clean behind themselves. I can go on and I have before and after pictures if anyone wants to see them. I own a 2600 square foot, 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home that I paid a local maid service to come out and do deep cleaning on. There were two girls at my house for 4 hours and I was charged $200. And when I walked into my house after work, it was like walking into a brand new home. They managed to clean the entire house worth of baseboards. The baseboards looked like they had just been painted they were so clean. They cleaned my garden tub, stand up tile shower, two shower/tub combos, 4 toilets, 5 bathroom sinks. The entire kitchen. They vacuumed the entire upstairs floor and my master bedroom and swept and mopped my kitchen/dining room/ living room hardwoods and the tile bathrooms. All of this in 4 hours in a home 5x the size of my mother's tiny mobile home. I feel like I just threw $250 out the window. There is so much left to be cleaned and nothing I asked to be cleaned was even touched. They did take down an old shower curtain and some old blinds but other than that I can't see where they did much and they also used my mother's mop and broom. The broom was covered in cob webs and the mop was thrown out on the back porch. We found one sponge on the front porch but the rest of my moms sponges, her bottle of bleach, and her Dawn dish detergent were gone. I checked a box on the initial contact that I would need them to use there own cleaning supplies. I also sent a message and asked for a list of what was actually done in the home but I never heard back. My sister also sent a message about how they left everything and she never heard back either. I am so disappointed that my mother's home wasn't any cleaner than this as she's trying to move in today. I'm sickened that I stupidly paid so much money for such shoddy work. Beware before you hire this team.
