We recently took our Yorkshire Terrier to The Best Little Dog House in Texas and was beyond disappointed and disgusted by the neglect our dog experienced. Upon picking him up after a 3 night stay our dog had a large ball of poop that was so heavily compacted and matted to his fur that he was unable to sit down and it was clearly causing him discomfort. After we got him home, we had to give him multiple baths and cut off most of his fur around his rear. We have boarded our dog several times in the past and we anticipate a certain level of uncleanliness but this was unacceptable. It was the responsibility of the staff to contact us if there was an issue that was causing him discomfort; they failed to do so. If we had known he was in such discomfort we would have happily paid for him to receive a bath or to be groomed while he was there. The most troubling and concerning aspect of this incident is the fact that the staff stated they didn't notice anything wrong.. Conclusively, we have lost trust in the ability of this place to care for him and have no interest in bringing him back for any reason. There are many other much more suitable places to take your pet in the Houston area!

We never received any explanation as to how this was overlooked and never received any compensation or discount on the boarding fee, despite explaining the incident to both the owner and the manager, Do not bring your pet here!
