Dina Gomez, the Developer and Owner of "Sunshine In Home Care" was a Godsend to our family. She lovingly and devotedly cared for my Mother and Father for almost 6 yrs....before, first, my mother "passed", then a year and 1/2 later, my father.....both at age "92".
My parents were hard working, honest and trustworthy people and expected the same out of their caregiver. They went thru several agencys before Dina came into their lives. What impressed them the most about Dina, was not only her knowledge of the elderly and their needs, but her cheerfulness, her impeccable cleanliness and willingness to do other things around the house when not tending to them. She familiarized herself with their home and their neighborhood. She not only bathed them and helped them dress, she washed and ironed for them. She took them to the market and learned to cook the kinds of foods that they had eaten all their lives. I popped in to visit whenever I could and Dina was never found sitting down. If there was nothing to do she would clean house or tend to their plants. That was Dina's style. Even on her days off and evenings she would take classes to improve her skills and become "certified" in other areas of caregiving.
Over the years she met many other "caregivers", has become familiar and friendly with them and knows the type of person she would have work for her. She had a couple of gals fill in for her when she needed time off and they were excellent. Just as hard working and reliable as Dina is.
I would highly recommend Dina Gomez and the people she would hire to work with her. I say work "with" her....not work "for" her.....as she would be personally involved with each client and their situation. She would be the ultimate advisor. You would be in the best of "hands" with "Sunshine In-Home Care. I highly recommend them.
