1. Objective: to help student(s) become independent learners that are intrinsically motivated, possess excellent study and organizational skills, to have no fear or stress associated with test-taking, and also to be able to employ excellent test-takingstrategies - knowing student(s) learning style and to conference with teacher(s) to determine area (s) of improvement needed 2. I am a mastered degreed educator of 14 years within the public school and on the community college level in writing, reading, GED, ESL, and ESOL. 3. I would like to work with students in their home that are no more than 20 minutes away from my home or the Library in Smyrna. 4. The subjects that I specialized in are: writing (grades 4 - 12), reading comprehension (grades 4 - 12), math (grades 5 - 6). In addition, I am an expert in project mangement as well as assisting pupils with projects - reading & writing (grades 4 - 12), projects - math and science (grades 5 - 6). 5. In order to produce a more successful student, it is necessary that I am able to follow his or her planner, teacher website, help student master use of a planner, and have acess to teacher/school newsletter. 6. I prefer to tutor during the week from 5-7 (in students' home). 7. I am willing to tutor on Saturdays at the Library. 8. I will need at least 3 days per week to work with your child or children. 9. If tutoring/coaching occurs on Saturday, hours are flexible and a minimum of six (6) hours with breaks and lunch included. A packed lunch is acceptable, or a permission slip will need to be signed to take the student to Quiznos along with a statement of any current allergies. 10. I will provide a progress report for parents and teachers (if parents desire) and am willing to serve as Parent-Liasion (attend conferences w/without parents-by phone or in person) and provide a typed report ( copies for parents and teachers). 11.
