About

Creative and fun music programs for Preschoolers that will give them a head start to music education.
Songbirds was founded in 1997 by Brenda Jones, for 5 Omaha home childcares as a way to bring music education to Preschoolers and Toddlers. As it grewover the years, it expanded to large childcare centers, preschool programs, Omaha Metro Area Libraries, group gatherings and Birthday parties. A customized curriculum is created to meet the needs of each setting which will teach beginning music theory such as tempo, dynamic, playing rhythms, counting and reading music notes. This will give the children a head start in music education for either playing an instrument or for singing in the future. They will also use rhythm instruments and different large motor equipment such as hula hoops, bean bags, ribbons, scarves, balls and parachute activities. This will give them the opportunity to be artistic and creative and to develop an appreciation for music. Songbirds offers several fun-filled educational programs for Preschoolers and Toddlers. If you are a parent, we have programs for music education for your child at home, for their play group, at their childcare/preschool facility or even for their birthday party. If you are a Childcare Provider/Director, we have programs that can be an added benefit to your current curriculum or as an extra program that parents register their child in, at their own cost. You choose what works best for your center. Songbirds also offers sessions for celebrations, festivals and in-house field trips for your facility. In-Service Programs and Trainings will be available soon.Read more
