About the business
Hello, my name is Cherri, and I love animals. Throughout my life, I have rarely been without a pet. I've enjoyed the companionship of dogs, cats, rabbits and hamsters. And, although I couldn't cuddle my fish, they provided me with calm and serenity. My pets have always been family, as I'm sure yours are, too.
Our brindle English Mastiff, Isabelle, is a character with a stubborn yet playful disposition. She is deeply loyal and watches over the family as a true matriarch would. We have several cats, the oldest being Sylvester who just turned 19 years old but is still the champion mouser. Sassy is the princess and is true to that title. Cage is our big cat, somewhat of a trouble maker but is the most licking cat I've ever seen. He would lick you for hours if you could just stand that sandpaper tongue. We recently lost our toy poodle, Chelsie, who lived to a senior age of 19. Although blind and somewhat deaf, she was still the alpha over our huge mastiff. We also lost our other 3-year-old English Mastiff, Murphy, a few years ago to blastomycosis. He lived up to the name of "gentle giant" and was the most loving dog we ever had.
We not only miss our pets when they pass but also when we are away. I started this business because I know from personal experience that obligations can sometimes take you away from your pets, whether it's just for a day, a weekend or extended periods of time. While I've never had to board a pet, I understand that it is unavoidable at times. Yet, wouldn't it be nice if your pet could remain in its own home to be cared for and loved while you are away? The advantage to your pet is less stress, a maintained diet and someone to spend time with until you return. Your pets miss you as much as children miss their parents. In fact, to many, if not all, they are thought of as children. I have never met a pet who didn't like me. Pets know when someone is a "pet person", and they also know a friend when they meet one.
I have years of experience caring for pets and have been trained in pet first aid. I can manage emergencies by either administering first aid or taking your pet to a veterinarian should the need arise. In the event of any medical situation, I will communicate with you or your designated contact at all times.
Caring for your pet in the same manner as I care for mine is what I bring to your home. I will lovingly tend to your pets basic needs, such as, food, water, cleanliness and cleanup. Equally important, I will play with your pet and dote over it. Exercise is also a key to occupying your pet's time while you are away. Whether it be daily walks or playtime, your pet will enjoy the attention I provide. Even some cats are known to be leash trained these days.
Before I begin caring for your pets, we will have a meet and greet, at which time I will introduce myself and review your needs. Because your trust in me is paramount, not only with you but with your pets, you will have an opportunity to observe my pet interaction before deciding upon the use of my services.
