I have been using Simply Clean for 6 months. I am that person who cleans for the cleaning lady. I had scheduled my holiday DEEP cleaning months in advance to ensure I received my preferred slot in time for Christmas. My husband and children were outside doing yard work while the team of 4 women cleaned indoors. All our past cleanings have taken them over 2 hours. This one was under an hour--I have the ring doorbell footage to prove it-- and I was told by the lead woman that they were already exhausted because I was their 4th cleaning of the morning and they had 7 total. They arrived at 10:59am and were packed up and gone by 12:06pm. When I came home after their departure, my husband informed me before I went into the house, that it was not clean. Mind you, I was not home with them because I had to meet my parents and sister to go put down our beloved family pet. Once I entered my house, I noticed how sloppily everything was cleaned or completely missed altogether. I'm talking soiled toilets, dirt filled floors, dressers not dusted, dog hair all over the couches, smudged appliances, finger printed windows, garbage not taken out, bedroom not vacuumed, toothpaste in the sink, etc. The deep cleaning options I pay for--fans, blinds, baseboards, were not even touched. I took video and photos of it all immediately, and sent them to the owner of Simply Clean, Amber at 1:14pm. She took 45 minutes to respond (1:58pm), so as it was almost time for my family and I to leave for a family Christmas dinner, I began to clean up myself. When she answered my messages, she had offered to come "fix" what her employees missed, however my son and I already had started tackling it ourselves. As we all know, time is of the essence during the holidays, and we had people coming over the next couple days and a party to leave for that afternoon. She was about 30 minutes from us in a different town and was finishing up a job. We had to get ready and leave for our party soon, so I had politely declined. She told me she could not offer a refund because she still had to pay her employees. I then decided to cancel the check. This is just bad business. 6 cleanings, 6 months, and $1,200 later, instead of trying to make things right for a loyal customer, she is threatening legal action over $175 for services not rendered. I had given each woman $40 worth in candles and gift cards prior to their cleaning service. I am not someone who doesn't pay their bills. I however, could not, and will not, let this slide and just pay up. If those of you reading this could see the video and photo coverage, you would agree immensely.
