Joyce and her staff are fantastic with our two Rottweilers. The kennel is clean and roomy, and there are safe outside spaces for the dogs to play. They keep the dogs on our normal schedule for feeding, elimination, etc., so there's no adjustment period after we return. The dogs excited when we pull up to the facility; they clearly enjoy being there. And when we return, they are calm and happy. We are so excited to have found Seaside!

I am writing this comment as a warning to other pet owners. I had intended to leave my two dogs at this facility for nearly a week. I never even made it to the initial interview. The problem was the vaccination requirements. The Leptospirosis vaccine is absolutely not necessary and is quite dangerous, especially for older and small dogs...Both are descriptions of my dogs. According to my vet (who adamantly stated she would not administer the Lepto vaccine) they have seen very deadly allergic reactions, especially in Dachshaund breeds.Leptospirosis is extremely rare in this country, it is primarily a sub-tropic disease and very few cases are seen in the continental U.S. I opted to send my dogs elsewhere because of this vaccination requirement. In addition, the owner was erroneous in stating the time frame of the needed vaccines. Bottom line I was going to give my dogs shots that could have made them deathly ill or killed them and they would need at least a couple of months to build immunity. I have never seen this facility and I will never see it, due to these outrageous requirements. Please before you give dogs the Influenza or Lepto vaccinations she requires, read the literature and have a in depth conversation with your vet. The place sounds very nice but I refuse to jeopardize my beloved dogs health for these insane and very dangerous vaccination requirements.
