S.O.A.R. (Student Opportutities and Advanced Resources) Tutoring & Advocacy offers and array of services. You have the option, for your child to come to the office or be tutored in the privacy and comfort of your own home.
*Tutoring:
Tutorial services and resources for all children by teaching with current, innovative and individual practices. We have highly qualified instructors who monitor progress, to meet your child's academic and functional needs. We provide services for students Kindergarten to 12th grade with personal individualized tutoring in all core subject areas, study skills, functional skills and test preparation.
*Advocacy and Parent Education:
We educate you about the components of your child's IEP and inform you of your rights within Special Education Law. We can support and accompany you to IEP meetings, while advocating for your child.
*Psycho-educational Testing:
Psycho-educational assessments allow for more precise planning when looking at specific strengths and needs of your child. Assessments give information about your child's developmental levels, cognitive (intellectual) functioning, current levels of academic achievement, learning style and memory.
