In 1993 I started working in the veterinary industry, first as a receptionist, then trained as a vet technician for several years & then moved into an assistant office manager position. In 1996 I began offering pet sitting services to clients of the veterinary hospital I was currently working at on a part time basis. I discovered I really had a passion and a gift for taking care of people's pets as if they were my own and founded Peace of Mind in-home pet care.
In 2012, after 19 years, I left the veterinary industry to focus solely on my pet sitting business. The education, experience & knowledge I gained during that time have been invaluable in providing my clients and their pets with more than just basic pet sitting. My team & I have extensive knowledge in animal behavior and symptoms of illness that affect pets, as well as many personal contacts within the industry that we can rely on for direction concerning the health and well being of our clients' pets. We also offer medical regiment treatments and care for pets with special needs that many of our clients have come to rely on in the continued care they need for their furry family members. My team & I have cared for pets in renal & liver failure & pets that have diabetes, congestive heart failure & pets recovering from surgeries.
Over the years my business has grown to fourteen team members, all of whom are either individual who I have worked with in the veterinary industry for many years, or are close personal friends of mine that love to spend their spare time working with Peace of Mind to care for pets. Choosing my team is extremely important to me because I understand the responsibility placed on me and my organization when entrusted with my client's pets and homes. Peace of Mind in-home pet care & its team members are fully licensed bonded & insured with National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS). We also offer a kennel free boarding service in our homes where we treat your pet just like one of the family. Our homes are meticulously clean, organized & fun environments for pets while you are out of town. They are also equipped with alarm and security camera systems directly linked to police and fire departments providing a safe and secure home away from home for your pets.
