Beware, they do not pay their service providers!!! We are a service provider and have provided services for Longwoods facility in San Gabriel twice. We had to beg for our payment for the first time we provided services by writing letters to the CFO. We provided services a second time for the dame facility and have not been paid again with no response to our letters requesting payment. We are notifying the Calif State department of Health about their practices

One of the greediest companies in california. They prey on unfortunate, sick and helpless patients that are forced to live at their care facilities. As a former employee, I know how the patients are treated. I have never worked at a facility that has such an incredible employee turnover. Most quit, not because they don't like the work but because they are disgusted with the treatment of the poor residents that must live there. Their residents never go on outings or have a holiday BBQ but they do have special events like BBQs for the staff, which is nice except for the fact that they do it in front of the residents who eat very poor-quality food 3 times a day every day of the year, I think some of these residents would kill for a nice BBQ or even an outing to Denny's. The facility I'm at now has regular outings including eating out, trips to the gambling casinos, shopping and occasional BBQs for the residents. These simple little things really make the residents happy. If you have a loved one at one of the dozens of the Longwood facilities you might want to look around for another facility to check out. If you or a loved one needs a long-term nursing facility, look around, talk to staff and residents and do a thorough online search. One last thing, Longwood Management Corporation doesn't put their name on any of their facilities, given their poor ratings, it's no wonder.
