J an J Pet Sitting is a brand new up and coming in-home pet sitting business that services the entire Des Moines, IA, metro area. We take care of your pets in the pet's home while you are away and for those that are unable to care for their petsthemselves. The goal of J and J Pet Sitting is to make sure that your pets are happy, even though, you may not be able to provide this companionship yourself. At J and J Pet Sitting, we aren't just in business for the money. We actually care about the pets that we sit for on a daily basis. As our slogan states, "They're not just pets, they're family," we view our pets (what we like to call "animal companions") as our own furry four-legged children. There is nothing that satisfies us more than seeing a tail wagging dog or a cool and relaxed purring cat. All of us at J and J Pet Sitting either own pets ourselves or have experience caring for other people's pets. We may not have all the glorified certifications that other pet sitting business have (however, we are in the process of becoming certified, licensed, bonded, and insured), but we sure have the experience! While you're away from your home, we will treat your furry child as if they're a part of our family. We offer a wide range of services that are tailored to each pet's specific needs. You can go with the basic package, which includes general pet sitting duties (feeding the animal, walking the dog, scooping the litter box, providing companionship for your pet, etc.), or you could request something more customized. It's up to you. For a small additional fee, we will also provide house sitting duties, which include house checks, bringing in the mail/newspaper, dusting/vacuuming, snow shoveling during the winter months, and lawn care during the warmer months. You tell us what you want, and we will make it happen! The one thing we cannot and will not provide, however, is caring for your pet(s) in our own homes. This goes against our philosophy that pets are better off in their own homes when you're away, and bringing the pet into unfamiliar territory is likely to cause stress for the animal and other animals around.
