Our 11 month old Westie was groomed by Huggies Mobile Pet Grooming on July 14th. Within the hour after the grooming Charlotte's eye started to swell shut. The groomer admitted that it may have been the shampoo or that she may have accidentally poked her eye with a comb. We brought Charlotte to the vet the very next day. Huggies Mobile Pet Grooming did pay for that first visit. A few days later we went for a follow up visit and Charlotte's eye was not better so our vet referred us to an animal eye specialist because she developed an eye ulcer and may go blind in that eye if left untreated. It is now July 27th and Charlotte is recovering slowly and will need a few more vet visits until she recovers fully. We have updated the groomer on Charlotte's progress and treatment via email and texts but after several attempts they have not gotten back to us via phone call, text, or email to check on Charlotte's progress or to take any responsibility for our expenses because of something that happened when our fur baby was under their care. It is very sad. Please do not go to a groomer who is not willing to take full responsibility for what happens to your fur baby under their care. That is the least they can do.
