I was contacted by HelloCare after seeing my resume on Worksource. During a telephone interview, I let them know I utilized Trimet and wasn't remotely close to their office or center of clients. This did not seem to be an issue and they wanted an in person interview. I interviewed, being open an honest, but had a feeling that what I was being told was a bunch of malarkey specifically since I didn't drive and all their clients are not Trimet accessible. Filled out and passed a background check, supplied onboarding documents and paperwork after being scheduled for orientation and being told I had been hired, watched hours of training videos, only to be contacted by text from McKenzie Ruiz stating they had no work for me and dismissing me by text. Very unprofessional. Thanks for wasting my time and lots of faithless words. If this is how they treat people starting, I can only imagine how poorly they treat regular staff.

The owner, Helen Anderson, replied claiming that I was never hired due to a background check and criminal history which hadn't been divulged. I had advised HelloCare at the interview and through their requested background check. She then listed information from the background check without consent to discredit me and the honest but negative review I had provided.
One of the convictions she outlined online was false and extremely defamatory. I would be very concerned about an owner of a caregiving agency that would retaliate over a review and reveal confidential information online assisting vulnerable clients. Her behavior is shocking and concerning. I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. I would be very skeptical of using a company where the owner behaved in this manner!
