Vanessa is a skilled caregiver, but her business practices are highly questionable. Her going rate is listed as $25, but she requested several more dollars per hour due to the price of gas and the drive from Westland to Troy (the very southern edge of Troy at I-75). She also charged more for holidays, and charged more if you didn't employ her for eight hours at a time, five days per week. She demanded payment up front each week and this caused some headaches when she missed days. She reportedly has a team, but the team was never there for backup when days were missed (due to death in the family, sickness, and on one occasion low tire pressure). You should also understand that you will not be getting Vanessa, but rather a substitute, on many occasions. There were also multiple days when she was late, sometimes more than 30 minutes, due to traffic or getting a late start. She left early on several occasions as well due to an unexpected Amazon delivery or needing to give a key to her daughter, etc. Overall, the biggest problem was the unreliability of her services (being left with no caregiver on multiple occasions) and the feeling that she did what she wanted, when she wanted. We should have spoken up, but there was concern about how whether this might impact the care given to our parent and whether we would lose her services before finding a good substitute. It was not a good experience, although my siblings were very kind to her in texts and even one early review. I don't dispute that Vanessa has good caregiving skills, but it wasn't worth the problems we encountered.

Vanessa and her team have done a wonderful job with my Mom. Very caring and willing to go the extra mile. Highly recommended.

We loved Taneja!!! She was a very warm, loving caring caregiver. Our mom was always happy and in a good mood when we got home! SHE WAS VERY KIND and caring for our mom. She was very dependable! I highly recommend Vanessa's Heavenly Hands!
