About
Hello, my name is Patty and my background is in both elementary education and special education. I have been teaching in the public school system for over 20 years and want to help students who have been struggling with their learning during the Covidpandemic. Even though my background and degree is in grades K-6, I have experience working with all students, K-12. Reading, writing, and reading comprehension are my favorite subjects to teach but I am also here to help with homework, study strategies, grammar, math, and other subject areas. Currently, I am teaching an Orton Gillingham based reading program called the Barton Reading and Spelling System which was specifically designed for students with dyslexia, but can help any student that needs help in reading and spelling.
