Emma and Gentle Shepherd were WONDERFUL caring for my elderly mother for a few weeks after she broke her ankle. Emma is so professional and has a great deal of experience. She was able to match my mother with a caregiver who gave the right level of care for what we needed. The caregiver was available each day we needed someone, so we had the consistency of knowing who would be there, rather than different people coming each time. Emma went above and beyond when I was getting different answers from the doctor's office and the insurance as she helped to figure out the issue and explain what was happening. I absolutely will use Gentle Shepherd again if the need arises.

Gentle Shepherd is a wonderful service! We reached out to Emma Soy for assistance with my Mother who has Dementia and we work outside the home. Her staff is very neat, prompt and professional. They give Mom the companionship she needs as well as personal care and food prep. Thank you Gentle Shepherd!!

We found Gentle Shepherd on Care.Com several months ago. Emma, the contact person, was so accommodating to our needs. I interviewed a companion for my mother who had recently broken her hip. She came to the hospital to interview with me and immediately started work for us upon mom's discharge. She always was on time and my mother loved her. We moved our mother in with a family member, out of town, and that was the only reason we had to cancel the service.

We've just moved here (NC) from New Jersey. My husband is very ill and bed bound. He is kind and gentle. The care given to my husband (for the last three weeks) has been dependable, kind and effective. Ms. Emma, who owns the business is knowledgeable, VERY responsive and caring. The aides are also very well trained. I highly recommend her services and will be available for any questions should there be any.
